CEO Blog – Quarter 2 Review

It’s that time of year again—making my way around the offices for our quarterly updates. These sessions are not just routine check-ins; they are vital opportunities to ensure that everyone across the company feels connected to our mission and understands the course we’re charting. It’s about coming together to align on the challenges we’re facing, the progress we’ve made, and the goals we’re striving towards.

What can I say about quarterly updates? They’re our opportunity to make sure we’re not just moving forward for the sake of it, or worse, going in circles. They provide clarity, accountability, and a chance to recalibrate if needed. It’s a moment to pause and reflect—not only on where we’ve been but also on where we’re headed and how we’re going to get there.

We’ll celebrate the wins (the “good”)—because we’ve certainly had them, and it’s important to acknowledge the hard work that’s gone into those achievements. But let’s not forget to embrace the bumps in the road (the “bad”)—the moments that didn’t go quite as planned—and to brace ourselves for the times that left us scratching our heads thinking, “Wait… what just happened?” (the “ugly”).

My role in these sessions is to be upfront and transparent. I’m here to answer the tough questions, provide clarity where there’s uncertainty, and set the tone for what’s to come. It’s about fostering open communication and ensuring everyone is on the same page, no matter how turbulent the waters may seem at times.

These updates aren’t just about looking back at where we’ve been, but they’re also a powerful reminder that we’re all part of the same crew, on the same ship, sailing towards the same destination. Leadership isn’t about showing up only when the waters are calm and the wind is at our backs. It’s about being there when the storms hit, when the challenges are toughest, and when the ship feels like it’s taking on water.

Curious about where we’re heading next? Stick around—the journey is about to get interesting!
