Raising the Standard in Every Room

This month, LM4 Group CEO TJay Asiata joined the panel at the Tupu Toa event, contributing to a conversation on leadership, culture and entrepreneurship.

One theme stood out clearly: imposter syndrome.

Growth is uncomfortable. New rooms bring new expectations. Higher levels bring greater scrutiny. Even experienced leaders can question whether they belong at the table.

The difference is what happens next.

At LM4 Group, the response is grounded and deliberate. Preparation over performance. Contribution over ego. Backing capability with action. Showing up consistently, not just when it is convenient. Leadership is treated as a responsibility, not a title.

Spaces like Tupu Toa matter because they signal where business in Aotearoa is heading. Māori and Pasifika leaders are shaping conversations, building capability and setting standards in rooms that influence opportunity and direction. Representation is important. Delivery is essential.

Momentum is built this way. Not through noise, but through presence. Through discipline. Through relationships that are built on trust and followed through with substance.

Imposter syndrome may visit, but it does not get to lead.

The standard is simple. Stay grateful. Stay hungry. Keep building.
