Relationships Beyond the Work

Sometimes you get more out of a day on the water than a week of meetings.
Recently, LM4 Group joined a KPMG-hosted fishing trip in Kawhia with clients and partners. No agendas, just good people and real kōrero.

Over 100 fish were caught on the day. Not all by us.

But that was never really the point.

Days like this create space for a different kind of conversation. Less structured. More honest. The kind where people share how things are really going, what they are working through and where they are heading next.

That matters.

Because strong partnerships are not built on transactions alone. They are built on trust, consistency and showing up over time, both in and out of the work.

There is also something to be said for stepping away from the usual pace. Resetting. Gaining perspective. Coming back sharper and more grounded in how you operate.

At LM4 Group, relationships are not treated as surface-level connections. They are built deliberately, maintained consistently and backed by the way we show up when the work matters.

The work will always be there.

But so will the people you do it with.
